Just returned from the Talent Inc event in Orlando and it was so very exciting! One thing is for sure – the modeling world is back to “pretty faces” in print and on the runway! I love this—not that I think we should not love those interesting faces as well . In a competitive world – you must have the “it” factor in order to get noticed. This is true in the work world as well as the acting/modeling world as well. Jobs are few and far between and each vacant spot is coveted. What can you do differently? Nothing – just be prepared, be yourself and say a little prayer!
And of course – I had to visit Magic Kingdom on Sunday night after the Awards Dinner:) Magic Mountain is back on track – Gotta love that rush! Until next time – Debra
After very little sleep but lots of anticipation, I am now in Orlando for the Talent Convention that has found so many wonderful talents like our beautiful Brooklyn Decker (Sport Illustrated Cover Girl 2010), Ayesha Alexander and Jessica Stroup – just to name a few!
I am a little addicted to Disney and feel the Magic each and every time I visit the theme parks! My favorite is always Magic Kingdom and i am hoping the magic is in the stars for the talent this year.
I also am addicted to my favorite hotels like Disney’s Swan and Dolphin which you hear me plug on my show as well as in print – Love It! I decided to venture out and stay somewhere new—-big mistake! You would think a Hilton would not disappoint – but I am disappointed! First, even with a GPS, it took me 30 minutes to find the hotel. The location is remote and the view from my roomis less than desireable. The rooms are clean and that is a positive. On a rating scale Disney’s Swan and Dolphin A+ and Hilton Bonnet Creek Parkway C-
After the runway showcase tomorrow – I am hitting the American Idol Experience which is never disappointing. Another highlight will be Shula’s Steakhouse! Love good food, great atmosphere and fabulous service. I will keep you posted on all of the happenings here in Half-Sunny Florida.
Brio Tuscan Grille Piedmont
There is nothing more important in life than good food and good friends. The perfect way to combine the two is found at Brio Tuscan Grille located near Southpark Mall on Piedmont Row Drive.I personally find it very difficult to find a restaurant that offers great food, service, ambiance and entertainment all wrapped up in one package, in fact it is virtually impossible.Brio delivers all of these essential elements and more! The band on Wednesday evening has the bar filled with happy patrons of all ages ranging from the beautiful 20 something crowd to the energetic lifestyle jetsetters crowd (this includes me).The dining room is filled with an aroma of incredible smells that evokes every sensory in your body. I dined there tonight with Bobby, my Guest Coordinator from our TV Show and the band was even more amazing tonight (Friday) and the food fabulous as ever!
Overall, I would say without doubt, this is my favorite place in Charlotte to dine.
Greg Roach, Managing Partner certainly knows how to run a business!
